My AIESEC Experience in India
By Marce Graniello

It’s kind of tricky to summarize the all the elements that took part in my @experience as a trainee in India. I’ve done so much that I couldn’t possibly write here all that I've learned, shared, seen and lived, but I suppose will have to do it as short as possible.

Time doesn’t exist here in quite the same way it does normally back home, it seems forever and at the same time, is never enough to enjoy all that it comes with its change. In just some months I was so lucky to meet lots and lots of incredible people, with different nationalities, cultures, religion and race, people that I'd never imagined I would meet, but who left a timeless mark in my memory and in my life with all the thing they tough me.

Living abroad, specially in India, can only be described as.... intense... from every perspective. From trying to figure it out which street has a supermarket, to know what to order from a menu in a restaurant, everyday can be a new adventure that is worth living; whatever would be monotony at home, as getting up, go to work and come back home, is never the same here.... you have new landscapes, new traffic, new ways to travel (as the famous “rickshaw” in India), and of course, new “international” friends that might be experimenting the same by your side and some other locals who will be always trying to explain you “stuff”.

The work experience is also great, you don't only get to learn things related to your career and a foreign language, but things related to life, as tolerance of the differences (which believe me, it never can be enough), fast adaptation to new environments (this one also includes weather hehehe), setting even bigger goals every time, and of course, also opens new horizons for you and reassures you that you made the right choice when you decided to take the chance.

Well, last but not least... you get to see all those beautiful places that maybe before have only seen on T.V. or books... travel around, mingle with the “real” culture, live, breathe and sense it all, take with you, and actually become one of those incredible lucky people who has really seen the world, or at least, part of it.

Yes!... I loved it!... and this will be one of those stories that I'll be proud to tell once and again to my friends, family, future kids and grand kids... will be that perfect memory that I'll cherish forever, and that got 'cause I took my chance... now it's up to you to look for your chances, and actually do something about it... believe me, you won't regret it!.

truly @cer.... Marce!
